It's not too late to submit art for gallery show
Want to start the new year artistically and display your talent with the college and community? Now's your chance.
The College's Casteel Gallery show, "Selected Work from Our MCC Community: Our Family Has Talent!," will draw from the contributions of College faculty, staff, students, alumni, and family members.
The works will be accepted through Jan. 12.
"If you are a student, a staff member, or a faculty member with a 'closet artist' label, now is the time to let your light shine," said Terrell Nicholson-Taylor, art instructor and curator for the exhibit.
She added the works submitted will be two-dimensional and can be of any media and style. "And it should reflect the personal interests of individual artists from our MCC society," Nicholson-Taylor added.
The show will open with a reception on Jan. 26 from 4-5:30 p.m. in the gallery that is located in the Davidson Fine Arts Center. For more information, including entry forms, visit meridiancc.edu/expressyourself.
