Arts & Letters’ Dimension Show to bring rock classics to the McCain
Meridian Community College’s Arts & Letters Series will bring back a community favorite to the McCain Theater: The Dimensions Show.
The concert is on Thursday, April 7, at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
The audience will hear a variety of music including rock classics by Elton John (Rocket Man, Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me, Crocodile Rock, Bennie and the Jets, Your Song), Aretha Franklin (Think, You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman), and Billy Joel.
One of the highlights of the evening will be the finale from The Greatest Showman, said Tammy Miles, MCC director of choral activities and instructor. “The song includes thoughtful and introspective lyrics that erupt into a full-out declaration and commitment to live life from the right perspective. This important truth is one that the students have embraced as they move toward their plans and dreams,” she said.
The Dimensions will be backed by a live band that includes students and instructors.
The Dimensions include Joy St. Clair, Parker Berry and Maggie Freeman, sopranos; Alexandria Bailey and Miracle Brock, altos; Noah Stephens, Tyi Burrage, Patrick Martin, Brett Gordon and Zet Mirabueno, tenors; Dylan Laird, bass; Joseph Jernigan and Jharmain Inge, drums.
