Resource fair brings agencies and MCCers together

An early-semester campus favorite event returned to Meridian Community College, bringing students and community partners together in Ivy-Scaggs Hall.

The Community Resource Fair, hosted by MCC Family Services and Student Support, connected students with organizations that offer help with health, employment, education, and other needs.

Twenty-two agencies participated.

“We have a lot of people here who are recruiting,” said Nedra Bradley, director of Family Services and Student Support. “That includes job opportunities, mental health agencies, community service groups, and military recruiters. Some students may be looking ahead after graduation, while others need support while they’re in school.”

Bradley said the goal is to build strong partnerships with local agencies so students can be connected to services not offered directly on campus.

“When students need help we don’t provide, we want to have trusted partners we can reach out to,” she said. “That helps us better support our students.”

MCC staff members were also available to share information about campus services and answer questions.

A Fall Semester 2026 Resource Fair is being planned.
