Here comes another week of College 4 Kids

From rocket blasting to slime making to lamb feeding, Meridian Community College’s College 4 Kids will again bring kids ages 6-12 to campus to learn, have fun, and create memories for the second week.

More than 670 children have been learning and doing during this annual camp that provides a fun and educational experience in a safe and supportive environment.

Mandy Hurtt, executive director of recruiting and admissions, is a member of a committee that has conducted College 4 Kids. “This has grown from last year, and we’re excited about this being the largest session,” she said.

Hurtt noted the goals of College 4 Kids are for the college to be a part of the community and for the youngsters to get to know the college. “It’s been great to watch them learn new things and meet new people,” she added.

Week two of College 4 Kids concludes Friday, June 14.
