Artist Colony works on display in Casteel Gallery through April 16
Meridian Community College’s Casteel Gallery welcomed the Mississippi Art Colony for a special exhibition with an opening reception on campus.
The exhibit features a wide range of works, including paintings and mixed media pieces, highlighting the depth and diversity of Mississippi’s visual arts community.
Founded in 1948, the Mississippi Art Colony is recognized as one of the state’s premier artist organizations, known for fostering creativity and supporting artists across the region. The exhibition at MCC showcases both longtime members and newer artists, offering visitors a broad perspective on contemporary work being created in Mississippi.
Casteel Gallery, located on the MCC campus, regularly hosts exhibitions that connect the college with the arts community and provide cultural enrichment opportunities for students and community residents.
The Mississippi Art Colony exhibit will be on display through April 16. Casteel Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and on Friday by appointment. Admission is free.
