MCC Campus Police adds fourth vehicle through district donation

Meridian Public School District Campus Police officials John Harris, left, MPSD Chief of Campus Police Cornelius Parks, MCC Chief of Campus Police Joshua May and MCC Assistant Chief Joseph Mathis.

A blue Dodge Charger that once served the Meridian Public School District will now patrol the Meridian Community College campus, giving MCC Campus Police another tool to serve students, employees, and visitors.

The donated 2015 Dodge Charger Police Edition is the newest addition to the department’s fleet. MCC Police Chief Joshua May said the vehicle is welcomed.

“This vehicle will help us respond more quickly when people need us,” May said. “It gives us another unit in our fleet and strengthens our ability to serve the campus community.”

The Charger becomes the fourth vehicle in the MCC Campus Police fleet.

“This is a great example of local partners helping one another,” May said. “We are thankful to the Meridian Public School District for this donation and for their support of MCC.”
