Private Scholarships

Below are private scholarship opportunities available to our students. Students may apply directly with the scholarship providers. If you have questions or need assistance, contact MCC's Financial Aid Office. 

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to students in their final year of high school. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities.

The Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship Program may award applicants up to $2,500 to pursue Career and Technical Education.

The McPhearson Foundation was formed in 1994 by the family of the late Richard E. "Dickie" McPhearson, Jr. to provide financial assistance to spinal cord injured people to improve their quality of life. Pursuant to this goal, the McPhearson Foundation plans to award a yearly academic scholarship to an eligible spinal cord injured person to assist him/her in pursuing their educational goals. 

The Meridian First Ladies Civitan Club Scholarship will be awarded to graduating high school or college students who demonstrate academic proficiency.

The Mississippi Association of Supervisors County Employee Scholarship Program is open to high school seniors, current college students, homeschooled students meeting eligibility criteria, and county employees or their spouses taking college courses.  Applicant must be enrolled (or plan to enroll) in an accredited public Mississippi college, junior or community college, or university for the upcoming Fall semester. Applicants must have an immediate family member who is a current or retired employee of one of Mississippi’s 82 counties. Dependents of elected county officials are not eligible for this scholarship program. 

Growing a strong automotive workforce is essential to the health of the automotive industry in our state. Providing support and opportunity is one way MAMA and its members can secure its future workforce. Scholarships are awarded to students studying automotive-related fields at Mississippi’s community colleges and universities.
