Meridian Community College's Precision Machining Engineering Technology Program is forging a relationship with Ingersoll Cutting Tools, a world leader in the design and manufacturing of standard and special indexable cutting tools in bringing the latest in CNC tooling to the College's Gene Haas Advanced Manufacturing Center at MCC.

The partnership began this semester, said Brian Warren, coordinator and instructor for the MCC Precision Machining Engineering Technology Program.

"Ingersoll is striving to be innovative and forward-thinking in the business of metal removal and productivity and is now excited to put this expertise in the hands of MCC students. This will come in the form of various cutting tools, such as: turning, grooving, parting, and milling tools. We expect this partnership to help MCC continue to produce the highest quality and most sought-after graduates in the country," said Eddie Adams, field sales engineer with Ingersoll.

A banner signifying the partnership now hangs in the center.
