Excellence in nursing: MCC students post 98.4% NCLEX pass rate
Associate degree nursing students at Meridian Community College have achieved an outstanding pass rate on their National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) exam for 2025.
The May 2025 nursing graduates achieved a pass rate of 98.4 percent.
“This year’s NCLEX results speak volumes about the commitment of our students and faculty,” said Dr. Lara Collum, associate vice president of nursing and healthcare education. “Earning a 98.4 percent pass rate is an accomplishment our graduates should be proud of, and it reinforces the strength and consistency of MCC’s nursing program.”
The ADN program prepares students for careers as registered nurses by combining classroom instruction with hands-on clinical training in local healthcare facilities. Students gain experience in a variety of areas, including medical-surgical nursing, maternal and child health, and mental health.
Graduates of the program are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN), the required step to becoming a licensed registered nurse.
Dr. Collum added that the MCC Associate Degree Nursing Program provides students with the skills and knowledge needed for success in this vital healthcare field.
“We are grateful for our graduates and the impact they make on the healthcare community,” she said.
