Take Flight with the Meridian Community College Screaming Eagle Band!

The Meridian Community College Screaming Eagle Band ensembles include Jazz Band, Community Concert Band, and Indoor Marching Band (starting Fall 2025). We will actively participate in community events and competitions, enhancing our community's vibrant musical culture. Submit your application today, and join us as we continue to inspire and connect through the power of music!

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must demonstrate desirable proficiency on your instrument, flag, or dance.

  • A written recommendation from your high school band director. This is not required for non-traditional areas such as guitar, bass, drum set, or piano. 

  • Must display a good attitude and a great work ethic! 

Frequently Asked Questions

Each ensemble has their own rehearsal times. Rehearsal times for all ensembles will last 1.5 to 2 hours.

Yes! Students have found ways to coordinate with their work supervisors to be at rehearsals and performances. Therefore, with communication from student to work and band director, it is possible.

Yes, there are service awards that are available for qualifying students. Eligibility is determined through audition and interview with band director.
