Guitar Ensemble
The Meridian Community College Guitar Ensemble gives guitar students the opportunity to perform in a group setting while exploring music from the Renaissance through modern day.
The ensemble performs each spring at the MCC Student Guitar Recital and throughout the fall and spring semesters at MCC campus events, community programs, and statewide guitar festivals.
The Guitar Ensemble meets on Mondays and Wednesdays at 2 p.m. Students must be able to read standard music notation in first position on the guitar. Music majors whose primary instrument is guitar are required to enroll. Non-music majors may also enroll after successfully completing Classical Guitar I or with permission from the instructor.
Instrumental performance scholarships are available for students who participate in this ensemble.
