Gospel Choir

The Meridian Community College Gospel Choir is a Christian-based ensemble composed of musically talented students from diverse academic programs and backgrounds. The MCC Gospel Choir performs for both the campus and the community. Under the direction of the Reverend Scotty Cole and Deborah Nettles, this musical group unifies through song and studies various worship styles. The repertoire consists of spirituals, anthems, contemporary worship and gospel music.

Students share their talents through the expression of gospel music while serving as musical ambassadors for the college on and off campus. The choir rehearses twice weekly and performs at churches and events throughout the city and community.

A concert is presented at the end of the fall and spring semesters.
