If you have 15 or more transferable college credits, you do not have to submit your high school or high school equivalency transcript and test scores for general admission.

Keep in my mind, our career and technical programs may still require test scores for program selection.

Yes. All previous official college transcripts are required for admission.

Test scores (ACT/SAT/Accuplacer) are not required for general admission to MCC. However, test scores may be necessary for course placement and/or program admission.

You may submit test scores one of three ways:

  • Directly through your student account at act.org or sat.org. Scores are typically available to us the next business day through ACT.

  • From your high school transcript. Be sure to ask your counselor to provide scores on the copy of your transcript when requesting.

  • If you have a personal copy, you may scan and email it to admissions@meridiancc.edu, bring it in person and we can make a copy of it, or fax it to 601.484.8838.

The Accuplacer is a placement exam that is offered at MCC. Many students consider this exam if they have not taken the ACT or SAT or need to achieve a higher score for course placement or program selection. Scores do not transfer from one institution to another unlike ACT/SAT and are available immediately after testing.

NOTE: Test scores (ACT/SAT/Accuplacer) are not required for general admission to MCC. However, test scores may be necessary for course placement and/or program admission.

Before scheduling a testing appointment, students must be complete an Application for Admission or be currently enrolled.

You may call the Office of Admissions at 601.483.8241 to schedule an appointment or email admissions@meridiancc.edu. If you choose to email, please include your full name, date of birth, and current phone number.

MCC is an open enrollment institution. Test scores (ACT/SAT/Accuplacer) are not required for general admission to MCC. However, test scores may be necessary for course placement and/or program admission.

If you have attended a non-accredited high school, we encourage students to consider our high school equivalency programs through our Adult Education Department. You may call 601.484.8796 or email adulteducation@meridiancc.edu for more information.
