According to the Veterans Affairs Department, some 20-plus veterans and service members die by suicide each day. To raise awareness, MCC's Veterans Committee is hosting HonorStride: Steps for Veterans Lives.
Sixty of Meridian Community College fine arts students' works will be spotlighted in the final show of the Casteel Art Gallery 2023-24 season, the Student Annual Exhibition and Competition.
With music including "How Can I Keep from Singing" to "May the Road Rise Up," and other songs, Meridian Community College Concert Choir members will present its Spring Concert on Thursday, April 18.
"It means so much to me and makes me desire to work harder to succeed and be able to give back to those around me who are trying to improve and succeed as well," McCollough said.
Even though Tre'Von Ruffin graduated as valedictorian, he didn't enjoy school. "I don't have a passion for it; I’d just rather work," he said. "My mom said just do a trade, and you can go straight to work, and I said I'll do just that."
