Where do Lifetime Questers travel?

Lifetime Quest, a Learning in Retirement Center, offers many travel opportunities throughout the year, day trips as well as overnight trips. MCC has sponsored travel programs since 1980. With the inauguration of the Lifetime Quest program in 1995, and under the sponsorship of the MCC Foundation, travel has grown into one of the favorite activities.

Trip costs are based on ticket, motor coach, restaurant, and hotel costs. The size of the motor coach, the space available at the hotels and the ticket allotment help us determine how many will be able to travel.

We select destinations based on feedback from our members. Favorite day trips include Columbus, Laurel, Jackson (the Governor’s Mansion at Christmas), Canton, Sebastopol, Philadelphia, Ocean Springs, Gees Bend, and Montgomery, Alabama. We explore surrounding areas and strive to offer our members interesting and fun day trips.

Some of our recent overnight trips have consisted of touring the City of Memphis, traveling to Helen, GA
Point Clear and Fairhope, Alabama. A New England fall foliage trip, a trip to our nation’s capital, and the Biltmore Estate have also been favorites.

Of course, no trip is a success without good food and great shopping! We incorporate free time to explore in most of our travel opportunities.

Who participates in Lifetime Quest?

People with many different interests participate in Lifetime Quest programs. We have retirees, and some who have not retired yet. Individuals and couples, from all backgrounds, enjoy our vast array of activities.
